There’s a good chance you already have a bottle of white vinegar sitting somewhere in your kitchen.

But if you’ve only been using it for cooking, you may be overlooking one of the simplest ways to refresh certain laundry loads. And if you have ever pulled a towel from the dryer only to find it stiff, rough, or strangely less absorbent than it used to be, the problem may not be the towel itself.
