A healthy and delicious alternative to traditional brownies using black beans for added protein and fiber.
Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 3 large eggs
- 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Blend black beans, eggs, coconut oil, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, honey, and baking powder in a food processor until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For fudgier brownies, reduce baking time by 2-3 minutes.
- Substitute honey with sugar-free syrup for lower sugar content.
