Ingredients

- 1 pound puff pastry, thawed
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Unfold puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 12 squares.
- Place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square.
- Bring the corners of the pastry up to the center and pinch to seal.
- Place appetizers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Notes
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated. Bake just before serving.
- Experiment with different herbs like chives or thyme.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
