Description

Make your own graham crackers at home for perfect fall s’mores. These crispy, slightly sweet crackers are easy to prepare and taste better than store-bought.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add honey, milk, and vanilla. Mix until dough forms.
  5. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness on floured surface.
  6. Cut into rectangles or squares. Prick each with a fork.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges turn golden brown.
  8. Cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks
  • For crispier crackers, bake 1-2 minutes longer
