- 2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For thicker chops, adjust the cooking time as needed.
- You can add other seasonings like paprika or onion powder.
- Serve with your favorite side dishes.
